Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The Revista Interdisciplinar Ciências Médicas receives, for submission, manuscripts with up to six (6) authors.
- Manuscripts must be fully unpublished and cannot be submitted for simultaneous evaluation in another scientific journal.
- Articles in Portuguese and American English will be accepted. Articles submitted in Portuguese will be published in two languages: Portuguese and American English, and the authors will be responsible for translating the original Portuguese version into an American-English version. Articles originally accepted for publication in American English will be published in American-English version only.
- Except from the title page file, all the other files must be submitted without any element identifying the authors or institutions where the study was developed.
- The information contained in the article is the sole responsibility of the authors.
- The selection of articles that will make up the edition is at the discretion of the Editorial Committee, considering the indexing criteria.
Original Article
It represents, but not exclusively, experimental (basic sciences) or clinical (applied sciences) and translational studies. It also involves studies in health economics. It is important to emphasize that the structure must contain detailed methodology and original significant results in innovation and technology.
Letters to the Editor
This category includes quick communications, technical notes, and letters expressing comments or critical opinions (based on current literature) on articles previously published in the Revista Interdisciplinar Ciências Médicas.
Case report
Description of cases (up to 3 reports) or case series (more than 3 cases) on rare diseases, rare presentations of prevalent diseases, or unusual situations in disease management. To adapt the text, The CAREGuidelines: Consensus-based Clinical Case Reporting Guideline Development must be followed. The checklist must be filled out and sent at the time of submission.
Narrative or Scope Review Articles
These are articles requested by the editor.
Systematic Review
Systematic review with or without meta-analysis. Literature, narrative, or integrative reviews will not be accepted. To adapt the text, systematic reviews must follow the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses) checklist. The checklist must be filled out and sent at the time of submission.
Thematic Volume
This thematic volume aims to present the profile of patientns/care and the challenges in Belo Horizonte and metropolitan region.
