Application of ludic pedagogical activities to children

Introduction: Childhood is the period in which the individual acquires skills and personal characteristics necessary for their development, especially in the social sphere. Therefore, it is essential that children are stimulated to facilitate this process, which can be done through ludic activities. Objective: To report the experience of medical students during the application of ludic pedagogical activities to children at a non-governmental organization in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Methodology: Descriptive study, of the experience report type, on an extension project developed at a Non-Governmental Organization located in a region of high social vulnerability. The participants in the project were 6 to 10 year-old children. Two workshops were performed: 1) “scavenger hunt” and 2) “musicalization workshop”, or “little band”. Results: There was a great adherence to the workshops by the children, as well as a good relationship between them in terms of teamwork. Conclusion: Ludic activities are very beneficial for children, especially for their social development.
