In the electronic table of contents, only the section to which the article was submitted is indicated.
Open Access Policy
REES is an open-access journal. All works are licensed under Creative Commons 4.0. The entire scientific and academic community has unrestricted access to its content; works may be downloaded, printed, read, and cited. No fees are charged for submission, peer review, publication, distribution, or online availability.
Peer Review Process
Manuscript evaluation will only begin if submissions comply with the publication standards described in the “Guidelines for Authors” section. If the contribution is rejected during the initial screening, authors will be notified by email and may resubmit it for a future issue after addressing the issues identified.
Submissions in the categories of reviews, interviews, and translations, once approved in the preliminary screening, will proceed directly to editing and publication. Articles approved at this stage will undergo peer review using the double-blind method, described below.
Double-Blind Peer Review
After initial screening, the manuscript will be evaluated by at least two reviewers using the double-blind system, ensuring anonymity between reviewers and authors and avoiding personal influences in the evaluation process. In cases of disagreement, a third reviewer will be invited, based on the opinions and judgments of the Editorial Board. Reviewers will analyze the manuscript using standard evaluation forms and will issue recommendations of rejection, acceptance, or acceptance with revisions.
If the manuscript is accepted with revisions, reviewers’ comments will be sent to the authors, who must address the required changes. Once accepted, the article will be published according to the journal’s editorial schedule.
All submission and evaluation procedures will be conducted through the journal’s website.
